We built the website of a clinic in Lisbon

Clinics - Websites and digital presence - News - 15 Sept 26

Our client is a specialist clinic in Lisbon. Its team wanted a website that does one thing well: when someone searches for help, they should find the clinic, understand what it does and ask for an appointment without friction. We designed and built it, and it is online.

What a clinic website has to do

Most clinic websites are brochures. They list services and hope the visitor finds the phone number. A patient in pain does not read brochures. They want to know three things: is this the right place for my problem, who will treat me, and how do I get an appointment.

So the site is organised around those three questions. The specialty is explained in plain Portuguese, the first appointment is described step by step, the team has faces and names, and every page ends with the same two options: call, or leave a request and the clinic calls back.

What we built

  • A clear structure: home, the specialty, the first appointment, the team, contacts, a page for referring doctors and the booking request.
  • A booking request that reaches the clinic directly and stores nothing on the website; the clinic calls back the same day whenever possible, and at the latest on the next working day.
  • A newsletter sign-up handled the same way.
  • Pages that are complete without JavaScript and respect visitors who prefer reduced motion.
  • Structured data that tells search engines this is a medical clinic, with its address and opening hours.

The design is quiet on purpose: warm neutral colours, one typeface, photographs of the work and of the clinic itself. Nothing competes with the two actions that matter.

Why it matters for growth

A clinic grows one patient at a time, and most of them arrive through a search and a phone call. A website that makes the request easy, and a reception that calls back quickly, turn interest into appointments. The back office that runs the clinic from that call onwards is the next piece: that is Bonacura.

What we learned

Clinics are regulated and careful, and so they should be. Health claims, advertising rules and patient data shape what a website can say and do. We treated those rules as the brief, not as friction, and the site went live with its copy checked line by line with the clinic.

The website is in European Portuguese and went live in September 2026.
